U18 Boys Regional Championship victory caps successful year for Boys Program

Our U18 Boys followed up their CT Cup victory with victory in the NEP New England Regional Championships this past weekend in New Hampshire.

After a solid 3-0 victory over GPS Maine, the boys emerged victorious in an enthralling championship game on Sunday against Massachusetts State Champions NEFC, having come back from a goal down early on to secure an excellent 3-1 victory - a result made all the more remarkable by the fact that 15 of the 16-man squad were made up of players born in 1998.

Coach and Boys 2010-2003 Director of Coaching Paul Hennessey commented: "It was an incredibly tough game at the end of a long season. The boys defended exceptionally well against a terrific team and grew into the game, taking their chances when they game along and we are delighted that they were able to secure the New England Championship, a great reward for the effort that they have put in, after many years at the club. We are very proud of the boys."

This was the latest great result in a great season for the Everton America Boys Program.

The U9 Boys and U13 Boys won their respective CCSL Leagues, the U10 Boys Black team, who will be touring the UK and visiting the Everton FC Academy this summer, won their New York Club Soccer League Division, in both the fall and the spring and the 03 NPL Blue team made it to the NYCSL NPL end-of-season playoffs. The U11 Black boys finished 3rd in the NYPL Division 1, with 4 of the squad being selected to the Everton FC Westchester U12 Academy team for next season.

The 99 Boys NPL team also enjoyed an amazing season - by winning 11 and drawing the other of their 12 NPL Games and qualifying for the NPL National Finals in Denver, CO in July.

Hennessey continued "It is great to see the continued success and development of the program. Across the CJSA, CCSL, NYCSL and NPL, in-state competitions and tournament play, the boys continue to represent the club fantastically well and play a great style of soccer. From our U7 program right through to our oldest teams, we are excited to see the boys continue to develop further moving forward under the tutelege of our coaches."

Coaches from Both Everton America CT and Everton FC Westchester will be conducting our third-annual Residential Camp at Loomis Chaffee School from 10-14 July - with over 100 boys expected to attend, more information is found here
