Everton Teams Attend University of Bridgeport Men's game
by posted 11/06/2017

On Saturday, October 28th, the Everton 2006 and 2004 Boys' teams were invited by Coach Slav to attend the University of Bridgeport Men's Soccer game where Slav also serves as an assistant coach. The match put the University of Bridgeport Purple Knights against the Long Island University Post Pioneers. Before the match, Coach Slav gave the boys a tour of the Purple Knight's locker room, reviewed the game plan, and also demonstrated how technology plays a pivotal role in game planning and coaching.

The boys met several of the University of Bridgeport soccer players and walked the team onto the field before the game.

During halftime, the Everton teams were introduced by the stadium announcer before playing short-sided games on Knight's Field in front of the spectators. The outing was a great team building event and the boys were given a great introduction to college-level soccer!
