EVERTON AMERICA DEVELOPMENT CENTER
The Development Center (formerly known as the Center of Excellence) is Everton America's skills training program for developing younger players.
The program is designed to teach core skills and the emphasis is for every player to spend as much time time on the ball as possible.
The program is recommended for young players who already have a keen interest in soccer and play in town travel or recreational leagues etc. Everton America's U7, U8, U9 Boys and U9 and U10 Girls teams will attend the Development Center weekly in the fall and spring, ensuring a dynamic and competitive learning environment.
The Development Center is open to girls and boys U6-U10.

The new curriculum for the 2015-2016 season covers:
1/ SAQ: Speed agility and quickness. Helps players become light on their feet and moving fluidly.
2/ 1v1. Players learn to take on their opponent and keep possession of the ball.
3/ Passing and receiving. Working on both feet and receiving on the back foot.
4/ Ball mastery. Lots of touches on the ball (dribbling, skills, turns) and using all parts of the foot to manipulate the ball.
5/ Scrimmage. Small-sided games so players can try the things they've learned 1-4.
The program takes place in the fall and spring on grass fields at All Saints School, 139 West Rocks Road, Norwalk.
In the winter the program runs at Sono Field House, 365 Dr Martin Luther King Jr Drive, Norwalk.
