The Development Center is Everton America's skills training program for developing younger players.
The program is designed to teach core skills and the emphasis is for every player to spend as much time time on the ball as possible.
The program is recommended for young players who already have a keen interest in soccer and play in town travel or recreational leagues etc.
The Development Center is open to girls and boys 2012-2009 and it would be a great session for anyone interested in joined one of our teams.
The curriculum for the 2019 season covers:
1/ SAQ: Speed agility and quickness. Helps players become light on their feet and move fluidly.
2/ 1v1. Players learn to take on their opponent and improve their confidence to do skills to beat a player.
3/ Passing and receiving. Working on both feet and receiving on the back foot.
4/ Ball mastery. Lots of touches on the ball to become a master on the ball by using all the parts of the foot and being comfortable doing so .
5/ Scrimmage Small-sided games where players will get lots of touch of the ball and chances to show what they have learnt in the session.
